Habitat in the Balance
Habitat in the Balance is an online educational resource for teaching about socio-scientific issues and process skills. This interactive, decision-making program examines sustainable development issues in four topic areas – water, land, inhabitants, and air. Habitat in the Balance is a secondary school program that fits with learning outcomes in grades 7 to12 science, social studies, geography, and environmental studies.
"Project Rainforest" will be an animated and interactive tour for visitors interested in discovering the grandeur of the tropical rainforests. Major topics explored are the biodiversity, deforestation, and countless resources of the endangered rainforests.
